Initiated Health Consumers Queensland’s nationally recognised Kitchen Table Discussion methodology in late 2018. From late 2018 to February 2023 managed from inception to completion 73 mostly statewide projects that included 391 community-led Kitchen Table Discussions and Yarning Circles. Initiated and led a one-off project consulting with some 300 health consumers in relation to the development of a Digital Health Consumer Charter for Queensland. This project resulted in the development of the first such charter in Australia and possibly internationally. Consulted in person with more than two hundred incarcerated men and women in Queensland Correctional Centre’s in 2018 and 2021, and 2023 to learn about their health care experience with the aim of improving health service delivery. Until February 2023, was a member of the Queensland Prisoner Health and Wellbeing Leadership Group. Between 2019 and 2022, co-designed and facilitated workshops on prisoner healthcare rights and consumer engagement to Queensland Health and Queensland Corrective Services staff. This was facilitated within the Correctional Centre’s to nearly 200 staff. Resigned in February 2023. Then changed direction (again) and undertook nearly 500 hours of study with the Four Winds School in the USA and Natural Success training. Now a shamanic healing facilitator, developing workshops to empower community voice, and organising retreats and workshops on the Munay-Ki Rites.
